Introducing the My Life Series
The My Life Series is a collection of Easy Read resources designed to help a person bring together important information about their life, their choices and the things that matter to them.
Everyone's life is different. The series includes pages about health, communication, everyday life, relationships, home, activities, routines, practical arrangements and planning ahead. People can choose the resources that are useful to them — there is no need to complete the whole series.
The pages can be completed independently or with support from someone who knows the person well. They can be kept together in a My Life folder alongside existing information such as care plans, hospital passports and other important records.
The aim is simple: to help the person remain at the centre of information about their own life.
I am a young woman with a rare disease called Fetal Valproate Spectrum Disorder (FVSD)which is formally known as Fetal Valproate Syndrome (FVS) I have created this channel to mainly spread awareness of FVSD. But I will also be talking about how I mange my many underlying conditions. I know I don’t look like there is anything wrong which is why I like to also spread awareness about Invisible Disabilities and what is out there.
